Fall Decor

This is a wreath I made out of "Beetle Balls" that Ezra and I collected.  They are actually made from wasps on Oak Trees.  I think the colors are so beautiful and vibrant-- yellows, reds, orange, and browns.  They come in all sizes as well.  Lovely for fall decorating!!

First Day of Spring Break-- Can't you tell?

Happy Halloween

Ezra decided LAST November that he wanted to be Zoro for Halloween. He kept that same enthusiasm for the character all year, so how could I possibly deny him the honor. Isn't he a cute Zoro? Jarom is sporting the Clone Trooper look from Star Wars. Unfortunately, Ezra had a bit of a fever on Halloween night and we did not go out for very long. After our little neighborhood and 3 other houses, both boys were ready to come home.

Summer Turns 15! Happy Birthday!!!

Summer really wanted a tortoise for her birthday. Does one made out of cake count? I used marshmallow fondant to make the outside layer of the cake. For those who have never tried it, marshmallow fondant is very easy and much less expensive and much better tasting than regular fondant.
Summer's main gift was in this envelope. . . . What could it be??????????????
LOVE this picture!!!! Wow $100-- to go towards her tortoise-- they are rather expensive critters.
Summer is a Freshman this year at Oregon City High School. She is taking 3 pre-AP classes and is really focused on her academics. She has decided that she would like to do something in the medical field and something related to children, but is not quite sure what area of focus. She decided this year not to do any major extracurricular activities so that she can focus on her schooling. She is taking some fun classes as well-- drama and digital photography. She has had a lot of fun doing some school activities, such as being on the Freshman float for the Homecoming parade, practicing and performing the Freshman dance for a school assembly, and going to the Homecoming Dance with a group of girl-friends. Summer is fun-loving and sweet. She does not like cheer-leaders or friend drama. I appreciate that she does not choose to go with the popular crowd and that she does not appear to be overly boy-crazy. She has a good group of friends that like to hang out and do fun, silly things. Summer loves to paint her fingernails, but usually picks off the polish by the next day. She has lots of colors. She is a big help at home, especially with Ezra. She loves her brothers a lot. Summer is VERY excited about getting her driver's permit and learning how to drive. Dad and mom are a little nervous!! We love having Summer as part of our family!!!

Fun with Cousins

We took a quick trip to UT for Uncle Bubba's wedding. In 3 short days we were able to see all of the Lloyd family except Lance's sister, Vanessa (& family-- she was due to have a baby any day), and all of the Thornbrue family except Merilee's brother, James (who lives in Colorado). Above is very cute Emma Ray Rigby
Jarom got to spend 2 weeks with the Rigby's and Grandpa and Grandma Thornbrue's House. He drove down with Grandpa Lloyd to Twin Falls, then with Uncle Bubba to Salt Lake. Jarom thought that Uncle Bubba was the coolest ever because he bought him a peanut covered candy bar for dinner. What better way to spoil a nephew. Just wait, Bubba. You, too will have kids one day! Feel free to send them to our house. . . ; )
Here is Joshua, playing baseball. He was very proud of his new T-ball set and quite an impressive hitter.
Two little cuties sitting in chairs. Emma Ray is a character. I love her facial expressions. Ezra just likes to look "cool."
Too short of a visit. I feel terrible, I did not have my camera with the Lloyd family, but I am sure there are plenty of wedding photos to capture at least a moment or two.
