The flood off Redland Road in Oregon City. Notice all of the trash 3 feet above the water in the trees. It was garbage day, so everone had their trash cans out in the street when the flood hit during the night, all the trash went down river. There were washing machines and canopy trailer tops stuck in the trees. What a mess.

This barn is typically surrounded by pasture land with a few horses grazing in it. The fences were flatened and the barn is sitting in 3 feet of water.

Look at all the debris stuck on the bottom of this road sign. It just shows the force of the water. It looks like a stagnant pond- now.

I have no idea how this happened. We think this Jeep has been for sale and sitting on the other side of the road for a while. It ended up upside down. I don't think anyone is going to be able to sell it.

This is a brand new house built specifically for flood zones. The garage is on the bottom and the foundation reaches all the way to the second story living area. It has been for sale for over a year. It will be interesting to see what happens.

This garden area separates the "new home" (above) with this little home (below). It did not fair well.

A complete loss. Although, I was told by the owner, that during the flood of '96, this home was completely burried under water.

See all the trash in the trees.

Wow, what a huge MESS. I think I would prefer a fire that just destroys and takes away everything, than to clean up a wet, soggy, garbagy mess.......
YUCK!! How did your house fare?
Glad we live in Flood Zone X... although our neighbors a block away flooded to the ceiling of their basement a few months ago during a storm.
We are at the top of a hill so we do not worry about floods at all!!
Wow, those were interesting. Sad, but interesting.
WOW! you are lucky.
