It is a cute story about Dexter Bexley and his adventures with the Big Blue Beastie. Adam has quite a fun little imagination and I thought it would be fun to make him a Big Blue Beastie that he could have adventures with as well. So, last Friday evening Jarom, Dylan, and I took out our drawing paper and designed a Big Blue Beastie. Then we all took a trip to the fabric store to get material for the beastie. It was really a lot of fun to go to the fabric store with the boys-- who knew they would like it so much? We got home and Jarom went to bed. Summer and Dylan helped with the final design plans and we got the Big Blue Beastie cut out. I sewed it the next morning. The boys helped to fill the bottom with beans for support (and food storage) and tear up the stuffing to fill the rest of the beastie. The result:Wednesday, April 14, 2010
The Big Blue Beastie
Jarom's friend, Adam, is having a birthday this week. He loves books and I found this great book at Albertsons, of all places. I actually didn't buy it the first time I saw it, but then I couldn't believe how perfect it would be, so I went back and bought it.

Oh my goodness! That is SO adorable! What a fantastic idea! Can I pay you to make one for Brennan's birthday? Please please please??? Everything you make always turns out looking so professional!
That is fabulous! What a clever gift...I'd say I'll have to borrow it from you, but I'm not that talented with the sewing machine. Great job!

It is one of our favorite stories!!
Woohoo, score! Brennan's birthday is covered... I'll have to make him a blue beastie cake or something. He'll love it! Thanks a million :)
When is his birthday?
Brennan and Dad share the same birthday of May 13th
I realized that Brennan and Ezra shared the same birthday just after I wrote it.
