There is a new format on the blog, so I cannot see the pictures of the house to make comment on each one, but the house is a 1920s farm house. It has 4 bedrooms, a huge living room, nice dining room with built-ins, large kitchen (we switched out the refrigerator with one with french doors), and huge rooms upstairs. There is a very large storage/ attic room off the boys bedroom with even more storage beyond that. Dylan's room is blue with some built-in drawers and things. Our master bedroom is huge. Lance will use part of our room as his office. We got a beautiful cherry-wood desk on craigslist for only $145. I will take more pictures as we get settled--only about 10 boxes to go!!! The picture of the kitchen is without the cupboard doors and drawers. We did not get those until a few days after we moved in. I also did not take a picture of the outside. One breath at a time.

Our New Home
Finally some pictures of our new home! Two weeks ago, Monday, Merilee received an offer to manage the Timber Grove Apartments at Mt Scott. We are grateful for the position while Lance works on building his business and finishes his schooling. It is a 52 unit apartment complex. Merilee started work on Monday, Aug 16th. On the Friday before, we helped our friends, the Kneelands move into their new home. On Saturday, they helped us. Then an busy and exhausting week of unpacking and training. The kids have enjoyed our new house as it is quite a bit larger than our old house. We have a pool just outside our the back door, which has been fun for the kids, but work for Merilee to take care of. Our community seems fairly quiet and the people seem friendly enough. Once we settle in, we feel it will be a good home for us for a while.

Nice. Congratulations on the new job and house. Do you have renters in the Barclay Hills house?
It looks beautiful. I love moving into new houses. I love old houses, too, because of the built ins, etc. and all of the character. Congratulations on the job, you guys deserve it all!
Merilee......that looks fantastic!!!
Can't wait to come back!
Looks great. The extra room will be awesome. Good luck on the busy job!
Looks really nice inside! Can't wait to see more pictures with your stuff in it, and the outside. Congrat's on the job and house.... hope everything settles down quickly and that it all works out!
James- we do not have renters yet-- still working on getting it rent ready. Hoping by the end of next week it will be ready to rent.
