The Newest Addition to the Lloyd Family

Well, they begged and pleaded and looked at me with puppy-dog eyes, and we came home with:

She's a 9 week old rat terrier. Currently nameless. We thought we'd get to know her first. Lance had a taste of "motherhood" last night when she whined at 3:00 and needed to go out. The kids love her. Ezra is not so sure what to do with her, but is very gentle in petting her.

And, she is pretty cute.

We are leaning towards the name "Cloie." Any suggestions?

As dad would say, "I'm sorry"....She is cute. Chloe is a good name.....and if she is an outside dog only, why did she whine to go OUT at 3:00 am????
I know your kids will love her. I hope you do, too!!! :)

I'm sorry to hear about your rat infestation and that you had to take such extreme measures.

Don't name it. It will be much harder to kill it once the rats are gone.

Mer...how big will she get? What a cute little puppy....I loved my Tinker dog when I was growing up and my plethra of cats!

The mom is only 14 lbs and the "aunt" is the same. They are very good dogs. Yesterday when we were playing with her, she was jumping up on Ezra. After about 3 times of telling her "Down!" She would come up to Ezra and sit. Ezra was being really gentle with her, but now he wants to hold her like he does with his teddy bear. Boy, that will be fun. Cloie does not bark, or even nip at him when he is practically laying on top of her.

She is too little to be outside right now. She'd probably get eaten by the skunk that wanders through our yard in his nightly route. She'll be an outside dog once she gets a little bigger.

Poor Lance is exhausted ; ) He fell asleep last night around 8:30- completely tired. A taste of motherhood!

I'm glad.....I hear they are very obedient dogs, so that is good :)
Fun!!!
At least you don't have much carpet. Carpet and dogs are a real issue! Especially puppies.

CUTE!!! Now that I'm out of there there must be more room! A dog will seem like nothing after me!! How are you doing, by the way? Any overwhelmed, or just back to normal like it's nothin'? I do miss Ezra's little smile the most. Cute kid. I'm glad I get to see you in 7 weeks!!! :) Can you believe it?
