Happy Birthday Dylan-- 11 Years Old!!

Dylan's football field cake-- homemade chocolate with a decadent ganache and hazelnut filling. Hence the muddy field-- but I just did not have the heart to cover the yummy chocolate with green coconut or something. Turned out pretty cute, anyway.

That is a "real" football formation, complete with teammates on the sidelines. We joked about adding cheerleaders, the stand, with fans, the marching band. . . .

Hut! Hut! HIKE!

Dylan got a new pocket knife and multi-tool. Great for his up-coming 4 day rafting/ fishing trip with dad on the Deschutes in July.

A sleeping bag. Good for zero degree weather.

Looks cozy!!

First phone call on his very own cell phone.

Let's eat cake!!!

Blow out the candles.

Some party. We lock kids in in the dog kennel. Actually, Jarom AND Adam are in the kennel together. Crazy.

Wow! Happy Birthday Dyl! I love all the football players! Teddy Grahams I assume? And the muddy field looks perfect for the kind of weather we've been having. Merilee I think we should get together-- you're so good at the gourmet cooking and I'm ok at making flowers... we could do wedding cakes :) Fun party though, wish we could of been there.

Great cake. Are the football players Teddy Grahams? Dylan looks so handsome! What a lucky boy to get such neat gifts. Sure do love you Dylan! I can't think of a boy that wouldn't be thrilled to be so loved on his birthday. Oh happy day. Thanks for sharing!
