Ezra pulled himself up for the first time today. He has been belly-bound until today. (For those not keeping track, Ezra will be a year old next week. He's a fast crawler as long as it is army style, but otherwise he has been rather slow in the mobility department. He still can not go from his belly to sitting.) He absolutely LOVES the idea of standing up. Once he learned he could pull himself up, he did it over and over. He gets a bit nervous after he's been up for a while because he hasn't figured out a graceful way of getting back down and he does not like to fall. At one point this evening he practically ended up in the splits. The first time he stood up, I was sitting at the computer and looked over and noticed that he was standing!! Next thing I knew he was high-centered on his toy-box. I just happened to have my camera handy on my desk and had to get a picture despite his yelps for help!! You can see from Jarom's face that it was pretty funny to watch Ezra reaching in his box.
We decided to clear some space and let him play in the toy box. He thought it was so much fun. Here he is, just chillin' like its a convertable.
More playtime in the box. Its funny, but he doesn't really play with his toys when they are on the ground. He'd rather eat plastic and open cupboards. But IN the box, the toys are now really fun!!

I love it when they get mobile. What a cutie.
Way to go Ezra!! I think it is so cute when kids can explore their world from a new perspective. And what a great idea-- contain the kid and the toys at the same time. Makes clean up a snap!
He is so funny! I love to see pictures but it's sad to me that we haven't seen Ezra in real life. We miss you guys!

Hmmmm, I had posted on comment on this site...I guess it got swallowed up somehow. I think that it is so cute to see Ezra in the toy box like that. Hurrah for close by cameras when you need them. I also love that Jarom thought it was funny. I think that is cute.
