SNOW!!

Last Sunday we had an innocent little snow fall. Church was canceled. Knowing that we do not get very many snow days in Oregon, I bundled up the kids and let them play outside for a while.

Then it snowed some more. It iced over. Then it all melted and we had a little bit of rain. Then it snowed again. This time, Summer builds a little snowman. Our neighbor built the one in the background. Cute, isn't it?

Then it snowed some more-- followed by more ice. Beautiful snow on the curly willow tree. We lost 2 large branches today. See the branch close to the trampoline in the front. Its gone.

And here is why we did not have church today. That is about 8 inches of snow covered in a layer of ice 1/2 an inch thick.

Since then, we have had another 2-4 inches of snow and ice. We are supposed to continue to get snow and ice all week. "I'm dreaming of a white Christmas" -- or perhaps a grey one.
