I posted a story of Jarom's miraculous prayer and quick answer to find his shoe last week. Today one of his Spider Man shoes went missing. He again asked if we could say a prayer to find it. We knelt at the end of my bed. He offered a prayer. I bent down and looked under my bed. Yep, there was his missing shoe.
Jarom feels very loved of the Lord.
It has been a HUGE challenge to have Jarom be reverent during prayer time practically his whole life. We tried reward-- an extra story. We tried punishment-- a time out in the corner. Nothing seemed to be working. Family prayer usually consisted of him sprawled out on the floor, "TOO TIRED" to kneel reverently.
Just lately, we told him that some missionaries stand to say their evening prayer because it helps to keep them awake and alert. He has chosen to stand while praying. I think that the reverence adds to his prayer power.
For a kid who is obsessed with superheros and having "every power in the whole wide world," it is a gracious God who allows that child the opportunity to experience "Prayer Power."

Sweet.
Now, I have been standing for prayer because my knee hurts.....(and often hurt).....but I just promised Heavenly Father that I would faithfully kneel because I need the extra blessings that come.....but, Jarom just proved to me that it is the intent of the heart, not the bend of the knees!
Oh, that is so awesome! Wow, wow, wow!
